The building of the Bulgarian embassy in Libya’s capital Tripoli has been attacked during the night of August 22 by unknown armed men, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has announced.

The building of the Bulgarian embassy in Libya’s capital Tripoli has been attacked during the night of August 22 by unknown armed men, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has announced.

Bulgaria evacuated the entire staff of the embassy three months ago and currently the building has no guards.

The Foreign Ministry does not yet possess any detailed information on what has happened, there are only reports of insignificant material damage.

Bulgaria’s embassy in Tripoli is located in the central part of the city, not far from the Green Square.
