Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic said that the idea about abolishing the Serbian institutions in Kosovo is an anti-democratic desire and that dialogue with Pristina should not be subject to blackmail Serbia.
As for the so-called parallel institutions, we have made clear that these institutions are elected by citizens and have democratic legitimacy, Djelic told EurActiv web portal and the BETA while commenting on a statement by German Chancellor Angela Merkel that parallel institutions in Kosovo and Metohija should be abolished
. Djelic reiterated that Serbia is ready for dialogue on all outstanding issues, but not so as for unilateral action that might lead to violence to be favored.
If things are set in an asymmetric manner, where everything asked by Pristina Belgrade must accept, it is not dialogue, but blackmail, said Djelic.
