Member of paramilitary group Sakali arrested in Montenegro

The Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office stated on Monday that one of the suspects for the war crime in the village of Cuska, Western Kosovo-Metohija, in 1999, and member of a paramilitary group called Sakali (Jackals) Ranko Momic was arrested in Montenegro.
The Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office stated on Monday that one of the suspects for the war crime in the village of Cuska, Western Kosovo-Metohija, in 1999, and member of a paramilitary group called Sakali (Jackals) Ranko Momic was arrested in Montenegro.
Momic, who is charged with murdering 44 Albanian civilians, was arrested on January 15, 2011 upon a warrant issued by Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic. He is expected to be extradited based on the extradition agreement signed between Montenegro and Serbia on October 29, 2010.
Momic, who was the boss of the group, took part in the attack on citizens in the village of Cuska, destruction and burning of houses.
He also took part in armed robbery of civilians and their expulsion from the village, the prosecution released.
