The IMF mission will be staying in Belgrade from 10 to 22 February, on the occasion of the seventh, last revision of a standby arrangement with Serbia before it expires in April, the IMF office in Belgrade confirmed.
The delegation will be led by Albert Jaeger and the main topics will include Serbia’s macroeconomic development within the programme and performance when it comes to goals set for late 2010.
As permanent IMF representative Bogdan Lisovolik told Tanjug, the topics will also include other structural reforms. He assessed Serbia had generally implemented that programme in a satisfying manner.
The arrangement, signed in 2009, granted Serbia a loan of 2.87 billion EUR for the strengthening of foreign currency reserves and some 1.48 billion have been used so far.
