Montenegrin Minister of Science Sanja Vlahovic and Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro Zoran Lutovac discussed in Podgorica Monday the improvement of the two countries' cooperation in the area of science.
According to the statement, Lutovac supported the initiative for the signing of an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation and is ready to take the necessary steps so that the agreement would be realized as soon as possible.
Vlahovic and Lutovac stated that the implementation of the agreement would contribute to a successful linking of research communities of Montenegro and Serbia. The officials agreed that there is plenty of room for the two countries' cooperation in the area of science through joint projects and exchange of experience.
Vlahovic presented Lutovac with the plans and strategic goals of the newly formed Montenegrin Ministry of Science, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the neighboring countries with the aim of promoting science as an initiator of innovation and overall social prosperity.
According to the statement, Lutovac welcomed the forming of the Ministry of Science, expressing readiness for cooperation and expansion of the scientific framework for scientists and researchers from both Serbia and Montenegro.
