Dacic told reporters that one Turkish ship has sailed out of Benghazi with 24 Serbian citizens on board and is on its way to Marmaris, where they will be taken over by the Serbian Consulate and transferred to Belgrade on Monday.

One Montenegrin ship rented by the Russian Ministry for Emergency Management should evacuate Russian citizens and another 300 Serbian citizens from Ras Lanuf to Istanbul on Sunday, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated after one JAT Airways plane from Sabha landed in Belgrade late on Saturday carrying 36 Serbian citizens and around 20 citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), Croatia and Ukraine.

In addition to their families, the passengers were welcomed at the airport by Minister Dacic, Chairman of the Belgrade Assembly Aleksandar Antic and BiH Ambassador to Belgrade Borisa Arnaut.

Dacic told reporters that one Turkish ship has sailed out of Benghazi with 24 Serbian citizens on board and is on its way to Marmaris, where they will be taken over by the Serbian Consulate and transferred to Belgrade on Monday.

According to Dacic, there around 40 more people in Tripoli who want to be evacuated to Serbia and other parts of Europe.

Reminding that JAT Airways has a regular line for Libya, Dacic said that one more special flight will be organised if need be and added that evacuation is nearing its end successfully, especially since a part of Serbian citizens were not staying in Tripoli but were living in the country's interior.

“The most important thing now is the fact that none of the Serbian citizens was injured or killed,” said the interior minister, who is in charge of the government evacuation headquarters which also includes the minister of finance and defence minister.
