The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, in association with the UN mission in Serbia is organising a panel discussion themed "Equal access to information and communication technologies: The path to dignified work for women" at 10.00 on 7 March at the Deputies’ Club, Tolstojeva 2.
The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, in association with the UN mission in Serbia is organising a panel discussion themed "Equal access to information and communication technologies: The path to dignified work for women" at 10.00 on 7 March at the Deputies’ Club, Tolstojeva 2.
This event will mark the centenary of the International Women's Day (1911-2011) and during the panel discussion the Global Network of Women ICT Decision-Makers will be presented to the audience, which was established at the initiative of the Serbian Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society, with the support of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the UN.
Scheduled to speak at the panel are Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Jasna Matic, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia William Infante, US Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick, Director of the Directorate for Gender Equality of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy Natalija Micunovic, Director of the Serbian Office of the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women Asja Varbanova, General Manager of IBM Srbija Iris Dzeba, Internet PR Dragana Djermanovic and FONIS representative Milica Galic.
