European Commission invests 14.5m euro in Kosovo

Experts from the European Commission (EC) and the Municipality of Mitrovica have presented on Thursday the projects which amount to 14.5m euro of EC. Part of these projects is a multifunctional mall, the renovation of sports hall “Minatori” as well as the Center of Business.

Experts from the European Commission (EC) and the Municipality of Mitrovica have presented on Thursday the projects which amount to 14.5m euro of EC. Part of these projects is a multifunctional mall, the renovation of sports hall “Minatori” as well as the Center of Business.

The representative of the experts that have designed this project said that the total area of the buildings is around 70,000 square meters. Sports hall “Minatori” will retain its sportive character but will be renovated completely, including all the details.

With regard to these projects, the mayor of the municipality has thanked the EC for providing such an important investment to the city of Mitrovica. “We are witnesses of some of the best projects which will be carried out in Mitrovica, and which will create a better place to live for our citizens,” said the mayor.

The chief of infrastructure in the Office of European Commission in Kosovo said that these projects will create new comfortable spaces for the youth of this city.
