Alen Memedovic, Aleksandar Sekulic and Milan Karanovic are among 17 arrested persons in an anti-drug operation by the Brazilian police, Tanjug was told in the Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) on Friday.
Goran Nesic was also arrested in this action, MUP released, adding that it cannot give more information on the arrest in Brazil since the action is still underway.
Previously, the Security-Information Agency (BIA) told Tanjug on Friday that one of the 17 people arrested as part of an anti-drug operation by the Brazilian police was Goran Nesic.
According to the BIA, Nesic is well known to the Serbian authorities, but not to the public, because he moved out of the country years ago.
The Brazilian police stated that he was arrested in his house in Bauru, in the state of Sao Paulo.
The BIA was also involved in the operation through the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
The drug trafficking suspects include citizens of Serbia or of Serbian origin.
The Brazilian police announced earlier they had arrested 17 people, mostly Serbs, who are accused of involvement in an international drug trafficking organization.
