The number of employed in Serbia at the end of March 2011 was at 1,770,444, according to estimates, which is 985 more than the month before.

According to an economic journal Konjunkturni Trendovi Srbije, which is issued monthly by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the March number of employed was smaller by 70,742 people or 3.8 percent compared to the same month last year.

The number of employees was estimated at 1,770,753 in December 2010, meaning that it dropped by 309 over the first quarter, the journal states.
