Three Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) officials Zarko Obradovic, Branko Ruzic and Veljko Odalovic were not allowed to enter Kosovo on Wednesday at the Konculj administrative border crossing, even though they were on private visits.

Three Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) officials Zarko Obradovic, Branko Ruzic and Veljko Odalovic were not allowed to enter Kosovo on Wednesday at the Konculj administrative border crossing, even though they were on private visits.

Obradovic, who is Serbia's minister of education, told Tanjug that they were held at the administrative crossing for two hours, and that he was not allowed to cross despite his insistence that he is headed to visit friends in Ranilug.

Odalovic said he was headed to Pristina to meet with Serb families as president of the missing persons commission.

Ruzic, who is the SPS parliamentary whip, was headed to the village of Brestovik near Pec to visit relatives, he said.

Ruzic said that he has been issued a written ban from entering Kosovo signed by Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci.

"This act proves that that freedom of movement in Kosovo is nonsense, and I urge Kuci to apologize to me. If they insist on democratic values, the least they can do is ensure freedom of movement," Ruzic told Tanjug.
