Inflation is calming down, 2012 projected inflation rate is achievable

The growth of retail prices in Serbia in the second half of 2011 will be much more moderate, while the coming months may see a drop in inflation rate, experts of the Institute for Market Research (IZIT) have stated.

Nevertheless in spite of the positive tendencies, inflation at the end of 2011 will be at the same level as in 2010 - 10.3 percent or somewhat lower, which is considerably above the upper projected limit of six percent, IZIT collaborator Sasa Djogovic stated.
He added that the calming down of inflation and its return to the projected frameworks is expected in the first half of 2012, which was pointed by the National Bank of Serbia (NBS).
