The Kosovo government has released a statement saying the agreements reached Saturday between Belgrade and Pristina were very important achievements for both sides, since they contribute to better life for the people and bring Kosovo closer to the EU.

The agreements promote high civilizational and democratic values, and are in the spirit of and in line with Euro-Atlantic standards.

The results of this round of technical dialogue will improve neighborly relations and regional cooperation, which are key Copenhagen criteria for EU accession, said the Pristina government. According to the Kosovo government, three interstate agreements were reached in Brussels, with the mediation of the EU and the United States.

Mediator Robert Cooper will publish all details of the agreements on Monday, July 4, says the statement.

The agreements will come into effect immediately and the EU will use its mechanisms to coordinate and monitor their implementation, says the release, adding the six round of the dialogue should be held in mid July.
