The last remaining ICTY indictee Goran Hadzic is in a plane on his way to The Hague, Serbian Justice Minister Snezana Malovic confirmed.

Malovic signed on Friday morning the approval for Hadzic's extradition to The Hague Tribunal.

"This closes the most difficult chapter in Serbia's cooperation with the ICTY," Malovic stated at a news conference at the Serbian government.

A column of vehicles, one of which carrying ICTY indictee Goran Hadzic, arrived at the Belgrade airport a little after 12 pm.

Hadzic was transported to the Belgrade airport from Novi Sad, where he paid a 90-minute visit to his family home, where his wife, son, sister and mother live.
