EULEX investigates deaths of Kosovo Police officer and incidents in northern Kosovo

The investigations are being conducted by the EULEX Task Force Mitrovicë/Mitrovica involving EULEX prosecutors from the Mitrovicë/Mitrovica District Court and EULEX Police.

In accordance with the relevant legislation, EULEX prosecutors have launched investigations into three different criminal incidents in northern Kosovo on 26 July 2011:

· The murder of a Kosovo Police (KP) officer in the village Zupcë/Zupce near Zubin Potok

· The attempted murder of KP officers with firearms near Zubin Potok

· Causing general danger through an explosive device thrown at a KP convoy near Mitrovicë/Mitrovica injuring one KP officer.

The investigations are being conducted by the EULEX Task Force Mitrovicë/Mitrovica involving EULEX prosecutors from the Mitrovicë/Mitrovica District Court and EULEX Police.
