The workers of the Novi Pazar-based textile combine Raška, headed by President of the Textile Workers Union Zoran Bulatovic, delivered their demands to Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic on Friday.

The workers of the Novi Pazar-based textile combine Raška, headed by President of the Textile Workers Union Zoran Bulatovic, delivered their demands to Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic on Friday.

The demands are also addressed at Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic and Justice Minister Snezana Malovic, Bulatovic added.

The textile workers are asking from the combine to pay them the money they are entitled to according to the court rulings. The debt amounted over eight million euros at the end of May 2011. They are also asking for the resolution of the status of a number of workers who have signed a social agreement with the former management of the company.

Bulatovic, who headed the group of workers who came to Belgrade on foot, told Tanjug that after many broken promises, they expect that the problem will be solved by Prime Minister Cvetkovic.

During the walk from Novi Pazar to Belgrade which lasted for four days, Bulatovic fainted and was transferred to Belgrade Emergency Center where he received an infusion. Bulatovic was released from hospital upon his personal request on Friday to present the demands to the prime minister along with other textile workers.
