Four month capital overhaul of TENT B2 unit is about to be completed. The unit b2 will be reconnected to the grid on 10th of September.

For the moment, all major overhaul works on B2 unit with 620 MW, are in accordance with planed dynamics, stated Mr.Ivan Gajic the head engineer for maintenance on TENT B power plants.

Major activity that influenced the time frame for this overhaul was the reconstruction of electrostatic precipitator ESP on B2 unit. Height of the ESP was increased for 2,2 meters which increased the effect of protection and decrease of emission of dust materials in accordance with domestic and European standards (50mg/Nm³).

Mr. Gajic explained that the overhaul was a complex project, mostly financed by EU donation and reminds that this project was contracted to Rafako and its local partners Serbian companies Gosa and Izoprogres.

In the same time major repairs were done on rost after burner, scrapers, superheater as well as major works on ash handling system with aim to decrease the levels

By end of july in machining hall replacement of all condenser piping was replaced on major condenser of the turbine. Also we replaced stator and rotor blades of the turbine.

Capital overhaul on B2 unit also included the replacement of insulation, boiler settings and bearings and final testing are being in progress after the overhaul which will lead to re connection of the unit to the grid.
