Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Friday that secretary of the Kosovska Mitrovica court Miroslav Bozovic and two other court officials, Blagoje Curovic and Dragan Gavrilovic, were arrested on suspicion of abuse of office.
Dacic told Tanjug that member of the High Judicial Council and judge of the High Magistrates Court Blagoje Jaksic is currently being interrogated by a judge of the Belgrade Special Court. According to the minister, the court issued a warrant for two more individuals in connection to the investigation, Ljubomir Bisevac and Miodrag Laketic.
Jaksic's immunity from prosecution was revoked on Friday, and the Prosecutor's Office suggested that he should be placed in detention.
The Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime filed a request for launching an investigation against Jaksic on Friday on suspicion that he committed the criminal act of abuse of office by procuring RSD 20 million worth of unlawful benefit together with his associates while he held the position as the head of the Kosovska Mitrovica Municipal Court.
Apart from Jaksic, the request for investigation also covers businessmen Bisevac and Laketic and three other employees of the Kosovska Mitrovica court.
