The average net salaries and wages paid in August 2011 in Serbia totaled RSD 38,389, and compared to the average net salaries and wages paid in July 2011, this was a 1.9 percent decrease in nominal terms and 1.9 decrease decrease in real terms, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia released Monday.

The average gross salaries and wages paid in August 2011 amounted to RSD 53,285. Compared to the average gross salaries and wages paid in July 2011, this was a decrease of 1.6 percent in nominal terms and 1.6 percent in real terms.

The average gross salaries and wages in August 2011, compared to those paid in August 2010, increased by 12.9 percent in nominal terms and 2.2 percent in real terms.

The average net salaries and wages in August 2011, compared to the same month in 2010, increased by 13.1 percent in nominal terms and 2.4 percent in real terms.

The average gross salaries and wages paid in the period January - August 2011 in Serbia, compared to the same period in 2010, were by 11.1 percent increased in nominal terms and decreased by 1.4 percent in real terms.

The average net salaries and wages paid in the period January-August 2011, compared to the same period in 2010, increased by 11.2 percent in nominal terms and decreased by 1.3 percent in real terms.
