Regional Spokesperson of the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) Hazir Berisa told Tanjug on Sunday that one individual was murdered and another wounded in the shootout in the village of Zrze, in the municipality of Orahovac in south-western Kosovo-Metohija.
Berisa said that Aleksandar Putnik (51) was murdered, while his son Dobrica (25) was wounded as they were shot near a restaurant some time around midnight.
An unidentified assailant shot at the two men in front of a restaurant they came out of, Berisa said and added that the younger man suffered wounds to his hands and stomach and was taken to the Prizren hospital, but his life is not in danger.
The Kosovo police performed preliminary investigation and searched several facilities looking for the attacker, Berisa said.
The Serbian Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija fiercely condemned the murder of a Serb in the village of Zrze near Orahovac, south-western Kosovo-Metohija and requested that the EULEX police should take over the investigation into the attack because the local Serb community has no trust in the Kosovo police.

This was not a shootout. It was a murder shooting.
A shootout implies an exchange of fire, and the Serb victims here did not shoot back.
Very poor phrasing coming from Tanjug.
It's the kind of account one might expect from Albanian or Western media.
Who owns Tanjug these days?
