Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the developing relations between Turkey and Serbia helped stability of Balkans.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the developing relations between Turkey and Serbia helped stability of Balkans.

After completing his talks in Serbia, Davutoglu told AA and state-run TRT early on Tuesday that he had postponed his visit to Serbia -which had been scheduled last week-- due to terrorist attacks in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari.

Davutoglu held meetings with Serbian President Boris Tadic and Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic during his stay.

Noting that they discussed the disagreement between religious institutions in Senjak where Bosniacs were highly populated, Davutoglu said that solving this issue was important for both the peace of Muslims in Senjak and domestic peace of Serbia.

Davutoglu expressed hope that a new period would begin for people of Sandjak and all Muslims in Serbia as well as for the stability and peace of Serbia.

We attach importance in Turkey-Serbia relations, he added.
