Hodzaj said in an interview for the Vienna-based daily Der Standard that the north will be allowed to implement only the plan on autonomous rights for Serbs and that all other concessions are excluded.

Kosovo Interior Minister Enver Hodzaj reiterated Thursday that the solution for north Kosovo is the Ahtisaari Plan, adding that it could be implemented as of next month.

Hodzaj said in an interview for the Vienna-based daily Der Standard that the north will be allowed to implement only the plan on autonomous rights for Serbs and that all other concessions are excluded.

According to him, Serbia has to withdraw police and paramilitary structures from Kosovo or else there will be no peace and security. If the Europeans do not condition Serbia's EU candidate status by withdrawal of these structures, they have to be aware that thereby they will open possibilities for a long-term conflict, Hodzaj said.

Serbia tried to realize an ethnic-territorial division of Kosovo, but once Pristina sent its officers to the crossings in the north on July 25, this concept was proved to be a concept of the past, he said.
