Kalanovic to deliver contracts to investors in Leskovac

Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic will deliver contracts for five domestic and foreign companies on 28 October at 13.00 in the Industrial Zone in Leskovac, at the construction site of South Korean company Yura, Djordja Stamenkovica bb.

Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic will deliver contracts for five domestic and foreign companies on 28 October at 13.00 in the Industrial Zone in Leskovac, at the construction site of South Korean company Yura, Djordja Stamenkovica bb.

Five domestic and foreign companies got support from the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and SIEPA agency for starting production and employing workers in Leskovac.

These companies will invest in Leskovac approximately €25 million and will employ around 2,000 workers over next three years.

Yura is expected to make the biggest investment, which builds its fourth factory in Serbia in the Industrial Zone in Leskovac and will employ 1,500 workers there.

Leskovac belongs to the group of towns of special interest which receive double incentives, according to the Regulation on attracting investment incentives. The towns of particular interest are those with more than 50,000 inhabitants in which the unemployment rate exceeds 20%.
