Serbian drivers will not need green cards to travel to 32 European countries from January 1, 2012, since the EU Official Journal has published a multilateral agreement making Serbia a part of a subsystem of registration plates, the Association of Serbian Insurers stated on Tuesday.
The green card will not be requied when entering the EU, Croatia, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Andora from January 1, the statement reads.
The vehicles' registration plates, that is the new registration sticker issued with the plates, will be enough to enter.
This makes Serbia the 33rd member of the subsystem, the association noted.
Bosnia-Heregovina and Macedonia are still not members of the subsystem, so Serbian drivers will still need the green card to enter those countries.
