EU Foreign Ministers discussed on Thursday Serbia and the situation in Kosovo, but did not succeed in taking a unified stand on the recommendation for Serbia's EU candidacy, Tanjug learned from diplomatic sources in Brussels.

We are still waiting for the results of today's round of talks, Tanjug found out, adding that the majority of ministers reiterated the already familiar positions of their respective governments.
The Germans remained firm, he said.
High Representative Catherine Ashton addressed the ministers during the meeting, and very positively assessed the initiative of Serbian President Boris Tadic to remove the barricades, the diplomat added.
Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt also commended Serbia's eforts to appease the situation in northern Kosovo.
Today's meeting is an introduction to the Council of the EU Summit to be held on Monday, December 5, at which the position on Serbia's EU candidacy will be formed.
The decision will then be officially confirmed on December 9 by heads of state and government at the European Council meeting.
