Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) MP Jorgovanka Tabakovic said Thursday that SNS leader Tomislav Nikolic will run for president of Serbia even in case that he is elected prime minister.

Addressing a news conference, Tabakovic said that she sees SNS as a party that will form the next government, in which case Nikolic would be the prime minister.
"Nikolic deserves the post of prime minister, but I expect him to run for president as well and thus show who has the support of the people," she said.

Tabakovic added that in case parliamentary and presidential elections are to be held at the same time, Nikolic would decide which office to run for "depending on what is best for Serbia."
