Kosovo will be represented under the footnote mentioning the resolution on Kosovo's independence adopted on February 17, 2008, the opinion of the International Court of Justice reading that Kosovo's independence is in keeping with the international law, and Resolution 1244, which enabled KFOR's arrival to Kosovo, establishment of UNMIK, and simultaneous departure of all institutions of the state of Serbia.

Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Taci stated Sunday that Kosovo will be represented at regional initiatives as an independent and sovereign state.

According to news agency Kosovapress, Taci said that Kosovo will be represented under the footnote mentioning the resolution on Kosovo's independence adopted on February 17, 2008, the opinion of the International Court of Justice reading that Kosovo's independence is in keeping with the international law, and Resolution 1244, which enabled KFOR's arrival to Kosovo, establishment of UNMIK, and simultaneous departure of all institutions of the state of Serbia.

He said for Top Channel TV Albania that an agreement will reflect two realities - Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state and Serbia's non-recognition of this reality.

The positions of Belgrade and Pristina have converged, Taci said. The visits of U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns to Belgrade and Pristina have indisputably contributed to convergence of the two parties' stands, he underlined.

A new round of talks in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is scheduled for February 21, and the Serbian delegation has confirmed its attendance in Brussels.
