Semsi Nehiju, a member of the Gnjilane group accused of crimes against civilians committed in Kosovo, will be extradited to Serbia, the Swiss Federal Court has decided a year after Nuhiju was arrested in the country based on a warrant from Serbia, the Belgrade media have reported.

According to Pristina's media, the decision with no right of appeal was reached on March 7, although it is still unclear when exactly one of the eight members of the group imprisoned in Switzerland will be extradited to Serbia.

The Gnjilane group was a group of Kosovo Albanians, members of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), who are accused of murders and atrocious crimes against Serb and non-Albanian civilians committed in Gnjilane, in the second half of 1999, Radio-Television of Serbia has reported.

The group kidnapped, raped and killed the Serbs in three known locations in Gnjilane during 1999, says the indictment based on which the Higher Court in Belgrade sentenced nine members of the group to a total of 101 years in prison in early 2011.

The Serbian police arrested nine members of the group in Presevo (southern Serbia) on December 26, 2008.

However, Fazli Ajdari, Redzepi Aliju, Sacir Saciri, Sefket Musliju, Fadik Aliju and Ramadan Haljimi are still at large.
