Dinar to strengthen by 0.1 percent

The Serbian dinar will continue with a modest growth for the fourth day in a row on Tuesday, strengthening by 0.1 percent and setting the official middle exćange rate at RSD 110.7191 per one euro, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has said in a release.

The central bank did not intervene at the interbank foreign exćange market yesterday, and since the beginning of the year, it has sold EUR 308.5 million to alleviate the excešive daily volatility of the exćange rate.
At the monthly level, the dinar depreciated against the euro by two percent, and by seven percent on the year-to-year basis.
The dinar hit its lowest value against the euro on Marć 14, when one euro was worth RSD 111.0286, while its strongest this year was on January 11, at RSD 103.6922 per the euro.
The indicative dinar-versus-dollar exćange rate was RSD 83.8336 per the dollar on Monday, with the dinar stronger by 0.4 percent than the day before. Compared to a month ago, the dinar dropped against the dollar by 2.1 percent, and compared to the prior year by 12.7 percent.
