Bodily remains of four Serbs who went missing during the 1999 Kosovo conflict were buried as NN persons at a cemetery in the northern Kosovo village of Rudare in on Friday as their families do not trust the relevant DNA findings.
EULEX forensic experts and their colleagues from the local Forensic Medicine Department (OSM) handed over the bodies to representatives of the Serbian government's Commission on Missing Persons at the OSM office in Pristina.
Coordinator of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Persons Milorad Trifunovic called on the families to have trust in DNA analysis results, lest more remains of identified persons be buried without a name.
Remains of four more persons who also went missing during the 1999 conflict were handed over to the families of the persons at the Merdare crossing the day before.
Bodies of a total of 291 persons have been given to the families of the dead persons since EULEX experts joined the OSM in December 2008.
