Dinar exceeds threshold of RSD 112 per euro

The Serbian dinar has weakened against the euro by 15 para on Thursday, exceeding the threshold of RSD 112 per euro and setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 112.1457, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced.

Since the beginning of 2012, the central bank sold a total of EUR 753.5 million on the interbank foreign exchange market so as to ensure smooth running of the foreign exchange market.
This year, the dinar hit its highest level against the single European currency on January 11 with the exchange rate at RSD 103.6922.
The dinar is 0.4 percent down on this time last month, and 11.2 percent down on the year.
On Wednesday, the indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate was at RSD 86.7598, reflecting a drop of 0.5 percent in comparison to its previous value, the NBS announced.
