Turkish Ekovitrin magazine has named Azerbaijan's first lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva “The First Lady of the Year”.
Turkish Ekovitrin magazine has named Azerbaijan's first lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva “The First Lady of the Year”.
The magazine announced a poll to choose “Stars of the Year” among 102 nominees in 34 categories.
Mehriban Aliyeva was announced the “First Lady of the Year” to become of one of the three winners in the “Honor Award” category.
Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and Boris Johnson, head of the London municipality, became laureates of the “Honor Award” in diplomacy.
Ekovitrin`s two-month poll to name stars for 2011 was launched on February 7 and saw the record number of respondents – 251,562 people.
The award-giving ceremony will take place in Istanbul in June.
The magazine featured Mehriban Aliyeva`s biography and socio-political activities, as well as highlighted her previous awards.
