The visit is integral part of the “Meet Business First Hand – Meetings of Students and Foreign Investors” and is organised to present to students a leading professional services provider as well as career opportunities it offers to fresh graduates.

American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham) and the Centre for Career Development and Student Counseling of the University of Belgrade have organized a meeting of students and graduates of the University of Belgrade with top managers of Ernst & Young.

The visit is integral part of the “Meet Business First Hand – Meetings of Students and Foreign Investors” and is organised to present to students a leading professional services provider as well as career opportunities it offers to fresh graduates.

In addition, Ernst & Young employees will share their experience with students and provide them with a glimpse into the working environment of a global and highly integrated organization.

“Every year, we hire over 30,000 students around the world into intern and full-time positions. While our recruits may differ from country to country in cultural background, chosen field of study or even media preferences, they do share the desire to achieve their potential within a reputable global organization”, says Sonja Jovanović, HR Director at Ernst & Young.

The “Meet Business First Hand - Meetings of Students and Foreign Investors” program is aimed at connecting renowned foreign investors with students and young graduates of the University of Belgrade, thus providing support for students and graduates in developing knowledge and skills of relevance for employment and further education.

The program, deployed by AmCham and the Centre for Career Development, includes visits to member companies of American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, as well as return visits of AmCham member companies to the Centre for Career Development and Student Counseling.

A range of roundtables and workshops, where students and other representatives of the academic community will participate in the aim of promoting the professional internship program, will be organised as well.

Within the cooperation, students and graduates from the University of Belgrade have so far visited most prominent local and foreign companies, including BAT, Holcim, Carlsberg, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Microsoft, Bel Medic General Hospital, Karanović – Nikolić Law Office, Coca-Cola Hellenic Srbija, Hemofarm, and Philip Morris in Serbia.
