Head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic said that the autonomy of the north of Kosovo is not an issue at the moment, and that the articles to that effect are yet another in a series of speculations regarding the Kosovo issue.

This is not an issue but one in the series of speculations regarding solving problems in the north, he said.

We are ready and open for any discussion that offers a solution to issues in Kosovo, but that solution must not violate the interests of Serbia and must be consistent with its Constitution, Stefanovic told Tanjug.

Reacting to articles in the Pristina media on the so-called substantial autonomy for the north of Kosovo which is allegedly being prepared in the European Union, Stefanovic denied that such conversations were held, because it is simply not a topic now.
