Seventy two per cent of Croatians see such union as positive, Gkf research – conducted on a representative sample of 1,000 – shows.
Some 12 per cent, however, agree with the statement that such undertaking would be equal to an "economic resurrection of Yugoslavia." The remaining 16 per cent are undecided.
Some 73 per cent believe that such economic connection could be beneficial for all of the states involved.
Looking at the regional break-down, 80 per cent of Slavonians (eastern Croatia) and north Croatians are in favour of the linking of the former Yugoslav markets. Coastal population is slightly more reserved, with 65 per cent supporting such a move, the daily Jutarnji List writes.
