The basic goal for the creation of the regional cooperation network is development of transnational partnerships, combining activities and resources required for creating a positive perception and image of the SEE.

The Foreign investment promotion agency of BiH reminds that heads of six Foreign investment promotion agencies in Southeastern Europe (Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYRMacedonia and Serbia) have signed a memorandum of understanding on June 8th last year in Vienna, which has, among other things, formed a Southeastern European network of Foreign investment promotion agencies.

This network was formed in order to improve cooperation between Agencies in a way which would improve investment possibilities in the region, and each individual country.

Bearing in mind that foreign investors prefer destinations which, along with stable and transparent legislation, boast economic and political stability, market size and power, availability of materials and working power under reasonable prices, it is clear that these criteria are difficult for individual countries from the region to achieve.

In order to compensate this failing, gathering offers and potentials, and presenting the region as a whole can significantly improve its attractiveness level.

Along with this, it will also send a message of political stability in the region, lack of administrative barriers and obstacles, and freedom of ideas and capital in the region. Promotion of a country is complex and expensive work, and through common work within a network, more efficient use of financial, human and other resources was allowed.

Through the cooperation network investors will be better informed, through building common information databases, web portals, and common promotion campaigns, making and distributing common promotion materials, organizing promotional conferences, forums, round tables, etc, sharing costs and combining human resources.

In this sense, the basic goal for the creation of the regional cooperation network is development of transnational partnerships, combining activities and resources required for creating a positive perception and image of the Southeastern European region, and with that of each individual country in the region, and building a better investment and business surrounding through common work, and creation of a quality offer of regional potentials (development and investment projects, locations, etc.).
