Prime Minister Emil Boc voiced conviction that the tough measures enforced in 2010 will yield fruit in 2011 and he thanked the Romanians for the patience and wisdom they have showed.
Boc said in a New Year's message to the Romanians: 'Now, at the end of the year, I thank you for the patience and wisdom you have showed in 2010 and I am convinced in 2011 we'll begin reaping the fruit of the tough, but correct measures taken this year'.
He underscored that the difficult decisions made by the Government in 2010 had been aimed at shaping out a better 2011.
'On New Year's Eve, I once again voice belief that the efforts we have all made will yield fruit. 2010 has not been an easy year at all, but it has had absolutely necessary decisions so that we may open the way to a better year in 2011. The common destiny depends on each and every one of us and the Romanians have proved they can understand the difficult moments and they can overcome them', Boc said.
'I wish you all good health, joy and fulfilment! A Happy New Year!', the message says.
