Preliminary results of snap election in eight municipalities in BiH

The Central Election Commission of BiH (CIK) announced preliminary, unofficial and incomplete results of yesterday's snap elections for mayors of municipalities of Bihac, Srbac Odzak / Vukosavlje, Srebrenik, Kalesija / Osmaci, Sekovici, Orasje / Donji Zabar and Vogosca.

The Central Election Commission of BiH (CIK) announced preliminary, unofficial and incomplete results of yesterday's snap elections for mayors of municipalities of Bihac, Srbac Odzak / Vukosavlje, Srebrenik, Kalesija / Osmaci, Sekovici, Orasje / Donji Zabar and Vogosca.

In the municipality of Bihac most votes went to candidate of the Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP) Albin Muslic - 54.99 percent, while the second was Emdzad Galijasevic with 40.29 percent of the vote.

In the municipality of Srbac highest number of votes went to SNSD candidate Zivko Mikula -55.24 percent, while candidate of SDS Dragan Ciric won 44.76 percent of the vote.

In the municipality of Odzak / Vukosavlje majority of votes, 51 percent went to candidate of SDA Elvis Hadziomerovic, while candidate of SNSD Borislav Rakic won 49 percent of the vote.

In the municipality of Orasje / Donji Zabar candidate of SNSD Stevo Stevic, won 50.42 percent of the vote, while the second was candidate of SDS Zeljko Marjanovic with 46 percent of the vote.

In the municipality of Srebrenik, majority of votes went to candidate of SDA Mehmed Bajraktarevic, who won 48.48 percent, followed by SDP candidate Sanel Buljubasic, who won 42.87 percent of the vote.

In Kalesija / Osmaci, SDS candidate Ljubo Petrovic won majority of votes - 61 percent, while candidate of SNSD Branislav Boskovic won 38 percent of the vote.

Candidate of SNSD Momir Ristic won the majority of votes in the municipality of Sekovici. He won 71.81 percent of votes while candidate of SDS Zeljko Ristic won 28.19 percent.

In the Sarajevo municipality of Vogosca, SDA candidate Edin Smajic came first, with 49.74 percent of votes, followed by SDP candidate Resad Dzindo, who got 37 percent of the vote.

Snap elections in municipalities of Sekovici and Kalesija / Osmaci were held due to recall of mayors, while in the remaining six municipalities elections were held because former mayors took over other duties obtained in the general election.
