Romania's results following the Stand-by agreement are very good and appreciated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Commission (EC), stated Minister of Public Finance Gheorghe Ialomitianu on Monday.
Romania's results following the Stand-by agreement are very good and appreciated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Commission (EC), stated Minister of Public Finance Gheorghe Ialomitianu on Monday.
"We discussed the results of the agreement valid till the end of March. They are some very good results, as assessed by the IMF and the European Commission", said the Minister of Finance.
MFP official also said that VAT results are good, as well, and the proceeds have enabled the authorities to pay arrears and to fit into a budget deficit of 6.5 percent of the GDP.
The IMF delegation, headed by Jeffrey Franks, will meet on Monday with MFP Secretary of State Bogdan Dragoi, to discuss Romania's public debt financing in 2011, and in subsequent years, as well as the strategy of taking loans from the external markets.
