Macedonian Army General Staff Chief Miroslav Stojanovski and KFOR Commander Erhard Bueler discussed in Skopje on Tuesday on the security situation in the region, possibilities for improving cooperation and information exchange between the Macedonian Army and KFOR.

The Macedonian Ministry of Defense said that the Macedonian Army had an excellent cooperation with the KFOR forces, adding that it would remain at the high level in the future.

General Bueler spoke about the security situation in Kosovo and KFOR's future plans.

In June 2007, a support coordination center was established in Macedonia as part of the Logistics Command of the Macedonian Army.

The main task of the center is coordination with the KFOR forces in the implementation of customs and border procedures during transport, as well as cooperation with KFOR in other ways, by which the Macedonian army participates in the KFOR mission in Kosovo indirectly.
