The evacuation of the first group of Bosnian citizens from Libya has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Last night a group of 140 BiH citizens was meant to leave Libya, but the flight was canceled because of the storm. It is expected that they will fly out of Libya today.

There are about a 350-400 BiH citizens in the Libyan capital Tripoli who are on lists for evacuation, while in the eastern part of Libya there are 250 more who want to leave the country.

When the clashes erupted in Libya on the 15th of February, about 1 500 citizens of BiH were caught up in this African country, mostly workers of construction companies.

Regarding the situation in Tripoli, BiH Ambassador to Libya Ferhat Seth said that the situation is calm and completely different to what the media is displayed.

"The city is living a normal life, people are on the streets carrying out tasks. The situation is complicated because there has been a large number of people on the streets, but its not dramatic", said Seth for the Nezavisne newspaper.
