High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Valentin Inzko said the international community would not meddle in the formation of the BiH government and that the talk of ending entity voting was nothing but speculation.

High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Valentin Inzko said the international community would not meddle in the formation of the BiH government and that the talk of ending entity voting was nothing but speculation.

The position of the international community is that domestic actors have to take on more and more responsibility so that we could withdraw. As far as ending entity voting, that is nothing but speculation, Inzko said in an interview for the Sunday edition of the Belgrade daily Politika.

Talking about the EU's stance on BiH, he said there was a unified stance for the entire region, BiH especially.

EU Enlargement Commission Stefan Fuele has said this several times. There is no polarization within the EU in this regard, but BiH needs to build roads, not only in its own territory, but the one to Brussels as well, he added.

Asked about his open dislike of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, Inzko said Dodik was the great hope after the Dayton Peace Agreement, but that he was really wearing thin the nerves in the international community and in the BiH Federation.

If there is something I object to, it is anti-Dayton behavior, which Dodik sometimes does or comes close to, said the high representative.

The Austrian diplomat believes the situation in the region is the best it has been in the last 20 years, adding he supports the constructive and positive policy of Serbian President Boris Tadic.

In Inzko's opinion, Tadic's effort to thaw relations between Belgrade and Sarajevo need to be appreciated more.

I am thrilled with the fact Tadic will soon visit BiH. His visit will be a positive signal for the entire region, especially bilateral relations between Belgrade and Sarajevo, Inzko said.
