The 10. anniversary from the killing of ten Macedonian Army (ARM) reservists from Prilep at area Karpalak on highway Skopje-Tetovo was marked on Monday.
A religious service was held at the site where an army convoy carrying the reservists was ambushed during the 2001 conflict, in the attendance of Health Minister Nikola Todorov, Deputy-Defense Minister Emil Dimitriev, MP Antonio Milososki, as well as family members, friends and fellow citizens, as well as representatives of political parties and civic associations.
Representative of the Prilep reservists' association Jordan Trajkovski voiced revolt over the authentic interpretation of the Amnesty Law, which encompassed the Hague cases, including the Karpalak attack.
"We would accept this as necessary reality if the amnestied perpetrators acknowledge their mistake, apologize to the Macedonian public and visit the places where these events occurred", said Trajkovski.
The Karpalak victims are also remembered at the commemorative trait in Prilep, along with a religious service at town church "Sveto Blagovestenie".
