Macedonia recognizes the Libyan rebel National Transitional Council (NTC) as the only legitimate authority in the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) says on its website.

"The Republic of Macedonia supports and joins the international community's efforts and activities for implementing the objectives of the UN Security Council Resolutions 1970 and 1973.

The Republic of Macedonia, in line with the EU position, has been applying all restrictive measures for Libya, adopted by the Council.

The Republic of Macedonia recognizes NTC as a legitimate representative of Libyan people and state," reads an online MoFA information on Macedonia's foreign policy priorities.
