Industrial production growth in BiH

In Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) in the first nine months of this year industrial production growth of 6.8 percent, while in other entity, Federation of Bosnia (FBiH) for 1.8 percent, compared to the same period last year.

For a solid increase in total production in the RS, the most affected mining sector with the growth of production in the period January - September of 24.1 percent, while manufacturing, and power and utilities sector recorded a growth of 4.8 and 2.3 percent.

The Federation, however, looking at sectors only increased production in the manufacturing industry and by 5.2 percent, while the downward trends observed in the production and supply of electricity, gas and water supply by 1.6 per cent and mining by 7.3 percent.

Looking at the individual activities in the RS, the largest shifts recorded in the extraction of "other minerals and metals", then, the production of radio and communication equipment, and medical, precision and optical instruments, and falls are most pronounced in manufacturing machinery and equipment, tobacco products and food industry .

In the Federation of the highest growth of as much as 78.7 percent recorded in the production of metal.

As one of the most important area of ​​manufacturing industries with significant growth in both production allocated to the production of furniture that is in RS increased 31.7 percent, 40.4 percent in the FBiH.
