Croatian Wines win Awards in London

Croatian wines have won awards at this year's Decanter World Wine Awards which were announced at the London International Wine Fair on Tuesday, reported daily newspaper Glas Istre.

Croatian wines have won awards at this year's Decanter World Wine Awards which were announced at the London International Wine Fair on Tuesday, reported daily newspaper Glas Istre.

Misna Vina Traminac Ledena Berba 2009 from Djakovo and Zlatan Posip Zlatan Otok 2010 won two regional gold medals. Together with these two gold medals, Croatian wines picked up 10 silver medals and 26 bronze medals at this years awards. Twenty six Croatian wines also received recommendations.

More than 14,000 wines were tasted at this awards, making it the largest entry ever for the Decanter World Wine Awards, now in its 9th year. Over 200 wine merchants, sommeliers, journalists and authors including 54 Masters of Wine and 11 Master Sommeliers, took part in a week of judging in April.

Croatian winemakers who presented their wines t the London International Wine Fair included Ivica Matosevic, Agrolaguna, Capo, Bruno Trapan, Roxanich, Franc Arman, Pilato i Cabola.
