Spokesperson for the Kosovo government Memlji Krasnici said, on the occasion of the second anniversary of Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence, that the interim authorities in Pristina achieved significant results in that period, especially in the northern part of the province.

In a statement to Kontakt Plus radio in Kosovska Mitrovica, Krasnici claimed that the interim institutions in Pristina invested around EUR 12 mil in northern Kosovo over the last two years, and that they will invest even more money in the future.

We plan to increase investments in the north, and successfully complete the decentralization process and the creation of the new municipality of Northern Mitrovica, so that citizens can elect their legitimate representatives freely and have a stronger influence on the work of the local authorities, he said.
