Presenting the report on the work of VOA, Serbian Military Intelligence Agency in 2009 to the parliament's Defense and Security Committee, Deputy Director Dragan Vladisavljevic said that the agency monitors Islamic fundamentalists in Kosovo, who continued their operation in the province after the unilateral declaration of independence.

Vladisavljevic said that Serbia will in 2010 open its military missions in Libya, Bosnia and Iraq, and explained that the reason for the establishment of a MoD mission in Spain is that country's position on Kosovo.

He noted that VOA, with its planned, organized and constant work in cooperation with other parts of Serbia's defense system, has done everything to provide the defense system leadership with information and data relevant to making decisions important for the country's security.

According to VOA deputy director, as part of those activities the agency studied and monitored the military security situation in the region, activities in countries which have a direct or indirect influence on security in Serbia, and extremists and organized crime groups in Kosovo
