Ikea to invest EUR 1.2bn in Serbia

Over the next few years, Ikea is likely to invest around EUR 1.2 billion in the building of new facilities and business development in the Serbian market and employ 9.000 workers.

Over the next few years, Ikea is likely to invest around EUR 1.2 billion in the building of new facilities and business development in the Serbian market and employ 9.000 workers.

According to Swedish Ambassador in Serbia Krister Bringeus, the talks which should result in five new shopping centers in Serbia are under way.

The opening of the first shopping centre of the Swedish company in Serbia is expected within two years, Bringeus says, adding that the location of the centre is in the vicinity of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.
