Thousands of Serbs rallied in protest on the Sumadija Square in northern Kosovska Mitrovica because of the bomb attack on Serbs that gathered in that part of the town this morning, in which one person was killed and 11 were injured.

Doctor Mesud Dzekovic was killed in the explosion of the bomb. Director of the Medical Centre, Milan Jakovljević, said Dzekovic was one of the best people in Mitrovica, a good friend, colleague and doctor.

He asked of the state of Serbia to help Kosmet Serbs stay in Kosmet. International institutions, instead of protecting Serbs and other non-Albanians, have sided with illegal Kosovo Albanian institutions and EULEX thus showed it is not status neutral, it was emphasized in the gathering.

Strong police forces keep securing this part of the town.
